Fun & colourful house tour today on the Design Files. Aah … Brisbane, how I misd your colours & light – all that sunshine!

A different (& lovely) way of displaying your art on those bookshelves you’ve emptied (never would happen at our house, I can’t seem to let go of all my books!).

Hanging a large picture of a relaxing scene like the sea can make a space feel larger. It’s also a lovely thing to look at!

This room goes from blah to wow in an instant with those green curtains! Don’t forget about your window treatments as Abigail says. :-) (Though, that chandelier is pretty special too.)

This from a place described as minimal…I think less is more in this case as the architecture in this place is amazing! :-) Photos by Lerkenfeldt Photography.

Love the colour scheme of Joanna Lavén’s space, especially the mismatched yet matching chairs and the whole apartment actually.

Gotta say, I love built in storage.  Made to measure is worth the pennies.  Really. Especially in a small space.

As Abigail says, play with scale and it will take your interior straight to glam!  (Or something like that, I can’t really remember exactly what she said but you get my drift.)
