We went for a simple take on the Christmas “tree” this year (mainly because I was sick and also concerned about my toddler son playing with pine needles – but it’s also more eco & pocket friendly!) – a few branches from the garden decorated with the help of my 3 year old daughter in what is currently my favourite corner…

nigella chocolate guiness cake with cream cheese icing.
just made it and had to share. btw cream cheese icing is great on anything!
and I used low fat cream cheese and halved the cream.
