Love the little make up space in the middle!
How mirrors can really open up a space! :-)
SIXX DESIGN back on the radar…not only refreshing style but 7 children! Kudos to Cortney & Robert. Check out their book, “Downtown Chic: From Wreck to Ravishing”.
Personality goes a long way…
I was thinking yesterday it is about time I wrote a bit about what Apartment Diet means to me. It is a term that has been around for a while but for me it is more than just de-cluttering or a one in one out policy. It is about having things around you that make you smile – every day. That bring back memories, start you dreaming and envelop you in a comfortable cosiness that makes you feel like you have really come home. It is possible to have a lot of the stuff in your house that is yours BUT still not have a lot that is personal…what makes things personal are the stories your house, and the things displayed in it, tell and in essence I think the difference that makes a place YOUR home…and this is the essence of what Apartment Diet is about for me. This is where I like to start.
Tip
Always loved Holley & Gill’s feather headboard and now you can get the design as a background for your computer! Nice.
New family house-tour site Frontliners – a bit like DosFamily
“Frontliners documents families as varied as the people we meet. It is the work of photographer Kata Varga and writer Natalie Walton.”

A little story:
when i lived in sydney i used to frequent berkelow books, and even
bought some sketches from Emma, who used to decorate the shop with her
drawings.
i doubt she would remember me, & these days Emma Magenta is rather well known, but i appreciated the wander down memory lane (and really must find those sketches! which will be hiding in a box at my folks’ place)
wallpaper continues to make me smile.
this one – cloudy by minakani walls
would also look lovely stretched as art on a wall
